Discovering
the tastes of the Swan Valley is now even easier with
the development of the Swan Valley Food and Wine Discovery
Trail, a joint venture of the City of Swan and the Western
Australian Tourism Commission.
The Swan Valley Food and Wine Discovery Trail identifies
all the tastes of the Valley open to the public.
Just look for the distinctive Valley of Taste signs
positioned at the entrance of each venue. Use the signage
in conjunction with the map at the centre of this brochure
to design your own itinerary.
As well as identifying the Valleys year-round
venues, the trail also identifies seasonal producers
with roadside stalls of just-harvested produce - a dewdrop-fresh
alternative to the supermarket.
Seasonal producers are identified on the map as
Local Produce and
can be found on the trail by looking for their special
blackboard signs.
You can also refer to the harvest calendar in the local
produce section to pre-plan your shopping along the
trail.
While you are shopping, be sure to look out for the
mark.
It means the produce is made or grown locally in the
Swan Valley.
The Swan Valley Food and Wine Discovery Trail is the
first of its kind in Western Australia, and offers an
appetising new way to experience Perths Valley
of Taste.
